Harajuku...
In 2004, when Gwen Stefani released her album Love Angel Music Baby, she set off a fire storm in the fashion world. Until then, most people had never heard of a "harajuku girl", the cartoonish street style fashion of young Japanese girls in Harajuku, Tokyo. Gweny introduced her first Harajuku line, Harajuku Lovers, in 2005. Now, 6 years and 2 kids later, she has teamed with Target and this week she launched a trendy childrens clothing line, Harajuku Mini! It will include plaid and leopard dresses for the girls and tuxedo inspired pieces for the boys. Now the kiddies can get their cool on!
Several years ago, when Japanese tourism was still very strong in L.A., I'd get to see
Japanese street fashion first hand. Now I have to follow their lightening-quick
changing trends on-line and I usually go to www.japanesestreets.com to get my fix.

Que pasa?
Mexi blanket bags...
This bag has a shape that is structured yet the fabrication is very casual. You can always carry this bag with denim, but why not make it interesting and carry it with a dress or suit? |

Minaudieres...
Minaudiere \me-nohd-`yer\
A small case for cosmetics, jewelry, and other personal items.
These cute hard case clutches have mostly been reserved for the night...
evening wear, formal, or cocktail wear.
Now they are stepping into the light! More casual fabrics, textures, and metals make this old
standard look new and fresh and day wear appropriate!

This basket weave minaudiere is so feminine and would look great with a tea dress or skirt. Perfect to carry to a wedding, Sunday brunch, or baby shower. |
This mesh metal minaudiere comes in silver and gunmetal. Would look so edgy with dark denim! |
It features a crystal topped kiss-lock and drop-in chain. |
